Things You Need To Know About Your Pain Management Procedure
Before Your Procedure
- You may eat or drink prior to your procedure.
- You may take scheduled medications, or pain medication prior to your procedure.
- You must be accompanied by a responsible adult, licensed to drive a motor vehicle to transport you home after your procedure. Your procedure will be performed three weeks in a row, therefore you will need a driver for all three procedures.
- Please let us know if you are taking a blood thinner.
Day of Procedure
- Upon arrival at Kissimmee Surgery Center at least 30 minutes before your scheduled procedure time, and report to the reception desk.
- We encourage you to ask questions and let the staff know of your special needs. We want your visit to be as comfortable as possible.
- Your procedure should last approximately 1 hour.
After Your Procedure
- You may receive medication during your procedure that may cause you to feel dizzy or sleepy afterwards; therefore, you are advised not to drive, or make any important decisions within 24 hours following the procedure.
- Avoid bending, stooping, and heavy lifting.
- Be aware that your legs may be slightly unsteady.
- Be aware that desired results are not always immediate, and may not be seen for several weeks.
- In you are unable to reach your doctor, you may call Kissimmee Surgery Center, Monday-Friday between 6:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M.
- The itemized bill from Kissimmee Surgery Center will be an easy-to-understand bill for our services and facilities. It does not include fees of your anesthesiologists.
